We are an Impact fund manager.  Our focus is on publicly listed companies in the non-BRIC global emerging markets. We invest in businesses that we believe are positioned to make a meaningful Impact as well as deliver compelling commercial returns. As a long-term investor, we will engage with management teams around relevant Impact and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics.

We are truly committed to achieving Impact as well as returns. A portion of our fees are linked to our delivery of Impact and ESG goals. Our achievement of these targets is assessed by a third-party Impact auditor.

Our primary Impact themes are: Climate Action, Financial Inclusion, Inclusive Education and Quality Healthcare. Our Impact evaluation framework is rigorous, rooted in academic studies – calculating in monetary terms each portfolio company’s net contribution towards the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations.

Capitalworks, an independent alternative asset management firm with a focus on global emerging markets, is an anchor investor and is providing operational support. Capitalworks manages over US$1 billion across multiple strategies.
