Our approach is to consider both Impact and ESG factors as part of our investment process, as well as seeking to support the companies in which the fund invests.
Broadly we define Impact as what effect a company has on the environment and society, and we define Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) factors as how a company conducts itself.

Regulatory Reporting
The EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR), in effect since 2022 apply to all asset managers marketing in the EU. Compelling asset managers to reveal the level of sustainability integration of an investment strategy. The regulation aims to create a more transparent playing field, partly to prevent greenwashing – where some financial firms claim that their products are sustainable but they are not.
Article 9 or “Dark Green Funds”, covers strategies targeting sustainable investments and applies “… where a financial product has sustainable investment as its objective.” The Confluence Impact Fund is complying with the disclosure requirements of Article 9.
